Grade C in Maths or equivalent and an interview with the course tutor.
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the professional body for Accounting Technicians and is sponsored by four UK Chartered Accountancy bodies. Whether you're about to take your first step on the ladder or think you can get more out of your career, the AAT will give you the knowledge and skills you need to go far and get the rewards you deserve.
The aim of this course is to introduce you to basic financial accounting, cost accounting and computerised accounting to enable you to work effectively in accounting and finance.

The tuition will take the format of lectures, with you completing exercises and other individual or group work as appropriate. You will be expected to complete approximately 2-3 hours of private study per week.
Course Assessment Method
Basic accounting 1 and 2, basic costing and working effectively in accountancy finance will be assessed by computer based exams set by the AAT. Computerised accounting will be assessed by AAT e-delivered project/case study or workplace evidence.
You may wish to progress onto the Level 3 AAT Accounting Diploma.
