Course Name: City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing for Colour Technicians

Entry Requirements

You will need to have completed the Level 2 qualification before moving on to this qualification. You will be required to attend an interview here at the college.

Applicants will need to show determination, a passion for hairdressing and have a creative flair.

They will also need to attend a skills assessment day as part of the interview process.

What's Involved

This is a challenging course for the most highly motivated hairdresser seeking to further develop their skills and knowledge in order to function confidently in the hairdressing industry.

To develop your employability opportunities you may also be given enrichment classes. This may focus upon additional qualifications, industrial updating and career preparation.

This course is delivered by demonstration, practical workshops, theory sessions and tutorials. In addition, you are expected to complete approximately five hours home study per week. You must also complete 36 days placement.

> Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques

Masterclasses are also available as part of this course. Details tbc.

Course Assessment Method

Assessment is on a continual basis by means of practical observation, GOLA online tests, assignments, oral questions, and the completion of a portfolio of evidence.

Employment opportunities exist in the hairdressing industry, setting up your own business, working on a cruise liner, working in media, or in a training or teaching role.
