Many of the units require coursework which will be internally assessed throughout the year. There is one exam at the end of the year which dicates overall course grading.

What does it Cost?

This course is free if you are 16-18 years of age on August 31 of the calendar year in which you begin your studies. If you are 19+ years of age fees may apply. However help may be available. To see if you can receive any funding call our Student Services Team on 01325 503030.

Course fees are payable to Darlington College. Registration and membership fees may be payable. All course fees are per year.

What's Involved

This practical qualification is designed for post-16 learners who want to study media-related degree courses in Higher Education or take up an Apprenticeship. Learners gain knowledge and understanding of creative digital media production and develop an understanding of how to work within the media industries.

Tutorials, enrichment activities, work experience and independent study will also add to the programme of study.

Successful completion of the Diploma can lead to university or an Apprenticeship in Media.
