Course Assessment Method

By your tutor through a range of methods This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments.

Complete a longitudinal study set by awarding body and demonstrate competency in a real work environment.

Entry Requirements

You will need 4 GCSE subjects at 3 points or D grade and above, including GCSE English or a Level 1 health related qualification and a satisfactory school report. You must also supply details of two personal referees who are not relatives and the college will formally write to them to obtain up to date references to support your application. You will require a clear enhanced DBS form and Barring by Association form, otherwise you will not be accepted onto this course.

We will request a school or college report and you will attend an interview at the college.

What does it Cost?

This course is free if you are 16-18 years of age on August 31 of the calendar year in which you begin your studies. If you are 19+ years of age fees may apply. However help may be available. To see if you can receive any funding call our Student Services Team on 01325 503030.

Course fees are payable to Darlington College. Registration and membership fees may be payable. All course fees are per year.
