Course Assessment Method
You will be assessed through a wide range of assessments, this includes written assignments such as essays and reports, presentations, tests, group work and activities.
If you do not have previous qualifications in English you will be advised to study Functional Skills English. It may be advisable for you to do GCSE mathematics and English if you do not have these qualifications at C grade or above as an additional qualification, particularly if you are considering a career in midwifery.
On the day of interview you will undertake maths and English assessments to assess your eligibility for the programme. You must be 19 years or older to start this course.

Student finance England will write off any Advanced Learning Loan balances you may owe for an Access to H.E course once you have completed a Higher Education course.
Course fees are payable to Darlington College. Registration
THe course is designed to allow learners the opportunity to progress into Higher Education in the Health pathway.

The One Awards Access to HE Diploma (Health) is a nationally recognised qualification with common requirements relating to the description of student achievement.
The course is a credit-based, graded qualification and requirements relate to both the award of credit and to the award of grades.
In order to obtain the full Access Diploma you will need to obtain 15 credits at level 2; these credits are obtained from common core units. In addition you will need to obtain 45 credits at level 3 from health units.
