Level 5 CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management


Entry Requirements

Ideally you will be working in a HR role and will have completed the Level 3 qualification in Human Resources. However, entry criteria can be discussed with the course tutor. You will be required to have an interview/informal chat with the tutor before enrolling on this course.

You will need to be working at at least level 2 English to be able to meet the academic requirement of the course.

What's Involved

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Associate Diploma in People Management is an ideal qualification to help you to further your career in HR and to gain a valuable insight into the management of people and the developing strategic role that the senior HR manager plays.

This qualification is ideal for you if you have been operating in a transactional HR role undertaking tasks such as recruitment and selection, change management or HR advisor. It is also the course for you if you wish to progress into a more senior role and already hold the Level 3 foundation qualification. You’ll expand your knowledge of HR with a combination of core units and specialist areas – helping you focus on what matters most to you.

Membership of the CIPD

Once you've registered for a qualification, you'll join the CIPD as a Student Member and you will need to remain in membership for the duration of your studies.

Through membership, we will support and encourage you throughout your studies. You'll gain access to our lowest membership rate (fees are 40% reduced for Student Members) as well as extensive study resources and the opportunity to build your network through our local branches, online communities and student conferences.

When you complete your qualification, you’ll be awarded CIPD Associate Membership, and the designation “Assoc CIPD” after your name. This establishes your credibility as a professional, raises your profile and opens doors to new job opportunities.

Course Assessment Method

This will be through formal written assignments, group and individual presentations, group feedback, case studies and question and answer sessions.

What's Next

You could progress your studies further with the Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management or maybe an MA in Human Resource Management.
