Level 3 Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship


Entry Requirements

Individual employers set the selection criteria, but this is likely to include 5 GCSEs, including maths and English, although some employers will accept other relevant qualifications and experience, including a relevant Level 2 qualification.

What's Involved

The period of learning, development and continuous assessment is managed by the employer, in collaboration with the college. The programme covers a wide range of the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be an effective Customer Service Specialist. This includes: demonstrating interpersonal skills, effective communication and being able to show the appropriate level of knowledge about the organisation and its customers.

Course Assessment Method

The end point assessment is synoptic and takes place at the end of the apprentice’s learning and development, after a minimum of 12 month’s on programme learning, usually after about 15 months. The assessment consists of 3 assessment methods.

- Practical Observation with question and answers

- A work based project supported by an interview

- A professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence

What's Next

Completion of this apprenticeship will lead to eligibility to join the Institute of Customer Service as an Individual member at Professional level. Should you choose to progress on a customer service career path, you may be eligible for further professional membership including management.
