Course Assessment Method
The GCSE Study programme will be assessed by completion of GCSE exams in November and or June. Students will work towards 5 GCSE subjects and each will be assessed within awarding body requirements.
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme as the aim is to prepare students for further education by gaining 5 GCSEs.
What does it Cost?
For most students this programme will be fully funded although this can differ based on ESFA funding guidance.
What if I Need Support
An assessment of learning support needs will be completed at the start of the programme and support allocated where required. All teaching staff will be supportive of learning requirements and support each individaul throughout the programme.
Students will work towards 4 core GCSE subjects: maths, English Language, English Literature and biology and will be able to select one additional GCSE if necessary as part of the study programme.
Students will have a full timetable with classes each week in all subjects within the college environment and receive regular tutorials in support of their learning.
