What's Next

Apprentices successfully completing the Adult Care worker apprenticeship may go on to apply for level 3 apprenticeships or apply for more senior roles in the care sector.

Course Assessment Method

Assessed through written assignments as well as observation of practice. Some professional discussion and reflection will also be sued to assess competency.

Entry Requirements

You must be employed in a relevant healthcare setting such as Care Worker, Personal Assistant, Support Worker - Supported Living, Key Worker in Residential Settings, Substance Misuse Worker with preferably at least Level 1 in English and maths Functional Skill.

What's Involved

One day per week attendance at college to receive teaching and support to complete Level 2 Diploma in Care and Level 1 maths and English if not yet achieved. Also to be employed in a relevant workplace to achieve at least 20% off the job hours per week.

Study day a Friday all day 9.30am - 4pm
