You will need to employed in an educational setting and this must be discussed with Programme Lead prior to enrolling.
What's Involved
The CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (EYE) qualification is run over a maximum of 6 months.
This is a full and relevant Level 3 for experienced educational professionals who require a licence to practice to work within early years settings.
Anyone wishing to apply for this course must also complete the suitability declaration form which will be sent to you at the point we invite you to interview.
Whilst in college you will gain knowledge and understanding of working under supervision with children in a wide range of settings. While you are on placement, you will gain practical experience working with children aged from birth to 5 years.
In order to aid holistic delivery and assessment the units have been structured around the following topics:
> Topic 1: Development
> Topic 2: Play and Active Learning
> Topic 3: Child Health
> Topic 4: Legislation
> Topic 5: Keeping Children Safe and Emotional Wellbeing
> Topic 6: Partnership Working
> Topic 7: SEN
> Topic 8: Curriculum
> Topic 9: Observations
> Topic 10: Professional Development
The programme is made up of 23 mandatory units and all units must be completed.
Course Assessment Method
You will be assessed by your tutor through a range of methods. This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments.
Complete a longitudinal study set by awarding body and demonstrate competency in a real work environment.
