Darlington College Christmas Markets

Darlington College are hosting two Christmas markets open to the public showcasing gifts and craft exhibits with stalls from local businesses. Visitors will also have the chance to win Love2Shop vouchers. These multi-retailer gift vouchers can be redeemed in over 20,000 stores.

The markets will be held on Tuesday, December 5 and Monday, December 18 between 11.30am-2.30pm. Shoppers will be able to get into the festive mood with Christmas music and a visit from Santa for youngsters.

The events will be held at the college’s Central Point. Darlington’s Cornmill Shopping Centre is sponsoring the markets and donating a Christmas tree.

Susan Young, the Cornmill Centre Manager said: “The Cornmill is a proud supporter of Darlington College and over the past year its students have had a regular presence in the centre showcasing their work and talents.”

“As a thank you to both the college and the students, the Cornmill is proud to sponsor the Darlington College Christmas tree to reinforce the importance of this local Community Partnership and to pledge their support for the forthcoming year,” she continued.

Claire Turner, Marketing and Engagement Manager added: “We are delighted to work closely with the Cornmill Shopping Centre on a number of projects that really benefit our students. Their gift of a Christmas tree for our Christmas market will really bring a festive feeling to the event and give staff, students and visitors alike a magical experience.”

The markets could also be an opportunity for students to be introduced to potential future employers. Suppliers from across the region will be in attendance.
